Perhaps you're wondering about the title of my blog? Or perhaps you're wondering how you got here? I can't help you with the second question, but the first is (fairly) simple.

This blog is not a comprehensive look at marriage, motherhood, faith or really much of anything.  Here at "Summa Momma" I have created a space to summarize my days as a wife and mother, to compile my thoughts, to show off my handicrafts and to publicly laugh at myself when I do something silly like try to leave the house with my kids (because honestly, who *does* that?!).  

You may also have guessed that my title is an homage to the great Angelic Doctor, St. Thomas Aquinas.  You can find the full text of his Summa Theologica online here. I have such a great love for St. Thomas (my academic background is in Ancient and Medieval Philosophy and Theology) and I am also an aspiring lay (third order) member of the religious order to which he belongs, the Order of Preachers.
